Project Highlight : Women & Asthma (ongoing)

Led by the Wellcome Trust and The Imperial College London

This public engagement programme aims to change perceptions about asthma, revealing the diversity and complexity of the condition and associated health inequalities. We will generate new understanding by bringing together women with lived experience of asthma and asthma researchers to express and exchange their unique perspectives using creative tools and techniques.

We are working with three craft organisations: Stitches in Time in London, Craftspace in Birmingham and The Sewing Rooms in Skelmersdale to deliver a programme of in-person and online workshops. Following the workshop programme, participants will take part in a participatory process, using their creative exploration to inspire the development of engagement activities to share their stories  with public audiences.

Project Highlight : Three Rivers Bexley

Produced by Three Rivers Bexley

I was an freelance assistant producer over the summer 2024

During summer 2024, I took part as an assistant producer in the coordination of a workshop programme focusing on explaining ecologies through creativity. The programme was produced by Three Rivers Bexley and a reaction to the creation of a waste incinerator on Crossness Nature Reserve. We worked with a local group of activist, whistleblowers and artists to create a meaningful programme that could engage bexley’s local community. We also worked in another rewilded green space Tump 39, where our collaborator co-created compost toilets and furnitures to make the space accessible for local communities.
