We Eat Our Squash On Pizza is a collective making workshop, inviting participants to create a communal tablecloth. This project was made in collaboration with community groups M.u.d (Youth Group) and Sow & Grow (Dementia group) in Sydenham Gardens. We reflected together on the act of sharing and caring for each other through food foraging, growing and collective cooking. Sharing a meal but also sharing conversations, opinions, laughters and what this symbolises in our collective memories.

The tablecloth patchwork was created using cyanotypes and hapa-zome prints made by participants, during our first workshop. We used archives from previous sessions and plants foraged in the garden, to translate different stories and emotions.

Our second workshop explored embroidery, poetry and natural ink drawing which came to embellish the edges of our tablecloth.
